DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
GHOROWA is committed to handling personal information responsibly. This Policy sets out the information we collect, the purposes and circumstances of its use, and the choices and contact process available to you.
SCOPE
Purpose and scope
GHOROWA is committed to respecting the privacy of people who visit or use this online store. This Privacy Policy describes the personal information that may be collected when you browse the website, create or use an account, place an order, contact customer support, or otherwise interact with the store. It explains why that information is used, when it may be disclosed, how long it may be retained, and the choices and requests available to you.
This Policy applies to information handled by the operator of GHOROWA through the website and its customer-service channels. It does not govern websites, applications, payment services, or other services operated independently by third parties. Those services have their own terms and privacy notices, which should be reviewed before you use them.
Personal information is handled for specific store, transaction, support, security, and legal purposes. We do not use information for a materially different purpose without providing any notice or obtaining any consent required by applicable law.
INFORMATION
Information collected and how it is obtained
The information handled depends on the features you use and the information you choose to provide. It may be collected directly from you, generated through your use of the website, or received from a service provider involved in an order or support request.
Identity and contact information may include your name, email address, telephone number, and account details. Delivery and billing information may include the address and contact details needed to accept payment, determine delivery availability, prepare a shipment, or deliver an order.
Order and transaction information may include the products selected, quantities, price, discount, payment method, payment status, order number, fulfilment status, delivery updates, cancellation, return, refund, and customer-service records. A payment provider processes payment credentials entered at checkout. Depending on the provider and the payment method, GHOROWA may receive transaction references, payment status, and limited payment identifiers needed to reconcile an order. Do not send a full card number, card security code, password, or one-time passcode to GHOROWA by email or support form.
Account information may include the details associated with a customer account and order history available through that account. You may be able to place an order as a guest; if so, the information required to process and deliver that order is still collected at checkout.
Support and return information may include the messages, photographs, product details, and other information you choose to submit so we can understand and respond to a request. Please avoid sending unrelated personal information or images containing other people unless necessary for the request.
Technical and usage information may include Internet Protocol address, browser and device details, log data, pages or products viewed, referral source, and interactions with store features. Shopify and other enabled service providers may collect or generate technical information through cookies, server logs, and similar technologies.
Information from service providers may include payment confirmation, fraud indicators, fulfilment status, courier scans, delivery events, and other information needed to complete or support an order. The details available depend on the provider and the service used.
USE
Purposes and basis for processing
We use personal information only where it is reasonably connected to the operation of the store, the service you request, the protection of customers and the store, or a legal obligation. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, processing may be based on your consent, steps taken at your request before or during a purchase, performance of an order, compliance with a legal obligation, or another permitted basis.
Order administration. We use identity, contact, address, product, and transaction information to accept and manage orders, confirm order details, provide account functions, calculate available delivery options, and communicate about an order.
Payment, fulfilment, and delivery. Relevant information is used by the payment provider, fulfilment partner, and courier to authorize or record payment, prepare the correct products, ship the parcel, provide tracking events, and handle delivery issues.
Customer service and remedies. We use correspondence and order records to answer questions, investigate damaged, defective, incomplete, incorrect, delayed, or missing orders, process eligible cancellations or returns, and administer refunds or other remedies.
Security and fraud prevention. Technical, order, and payment-status information may be used to protect accounts and transactions, identify suspicious activity, prevent misuse, maintain records of security incidents, and resolve disputes.
Store operation and improvement. Technical and usage information may be used to maintain the website, diagnose errors, understand how store features perform, and improve the reliability and accessibility of the shopping experience.
Marketing. Where permitted and where any required consent has been obtained, contact or preference information may be used to send promotional messages about products, offers, or store updates. You may opt out using the unsubscribe method in the message or by contacting us. We may still send non-promotional messages needed to confirm or service an order.
Legal and accounting purposes. Records may be used or retained to meet tax, accounting, consumer-protection, record-keeping, law-enforcement, or other legal requirements, and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
PAYMENTS
Payment information
Payments are made using the methods displayed at checkout. The payment provider selected for a transaction collects and processes the payment credentials under its own terms, security controls, and privacy notice. Checkout may be hosted or provided through Shopify or the relevant payment provider.
GHOROWA receives the information needed to associate a transaction with an order, such as whether payment is pending, authorized, captured, failed, or refunded, and transaction references supplied by the provider. The specific information available can vary by payment method and provider. We do not request that customers disclose full card details or security codes to our support team.
If a provider offers a saved-payment or accelerated-checkout feature, the provider’s own account and privacy settings govern that feature. Review the provider’s notice to understand how it stores payment credentials and how to manage saved payment methods.
DISCLOSURE
Disclosure to service providers and other recipients
We disclose only information reasonably necessary for a recipient to perform the relevant service or for another permitted purpose. Recipients may include Shopify and its hosting or commerce infrastructure providers; the payment provider shown at checkout; fulfilment, dropshipping, packaging, and courier partners; customer-support providers; and analytics or advertising services enabled on the store.
If you submit a review through GHOROWA, we process your account identifier, display name, rating, review title and text, product, and whether an order for that product could be matched to your account. We use this information to moderate and display the review; your account identifier is not shown publicly. If you submit a review through a Judge.me review request, Judge.me processes the information needed to collect, verify, moderate, and display that review under its own privacy notice and our service arrangements.
A courier or fulfilment partner may receive your name, delivery address, telephone number, and order details to prepare and deliver a parcel. A payment provider may receive payment credentials and transaction information directly through checkout. Support or analytics providers may process information needed to deliver their service. Each provider may process information under its own privacy notice and contractual arrangements.
Some providers may store or process information in locations outside your state or country. The location and safeguards depend on the provider and the service configuration. Where required, information is transferred or disclosed subject to applicable legal requirements and the arrangements governing that provider.
Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law, a court, regulator, or valid legal process; to protect the rights, safety, or property of customers, GHOROWA, or others; to investigate fraud or security incidents; or in connection with a business restructuring, transfer, or sale, subject to applicable law.
We do not disclose personal information to an unrelated party for that party’s independent marketing without the consent or other legal basis required by applicable law. We do not sell personal information as a standalone product.
COOKIES
Cookies, analytics, and advertising technologies
The website and Shopify may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies. These technologies can support essential functions such as maintaining the cart, remembering checkout or account state, protecting the website, and identifying errors.
Where analytics or advertising tools are enabled, they may measure visits, interactions, and campaign performance or help show relevant advertisements. The specific information collected depends on the tools installed and the privacy settings configured for the store. We will update this Policy if the tools or purposes materially change.
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may prevent the cart, account, or other store features from working as intended. A browser setting may not control every technology used by a third-party provider; use that provider’s privacy controls where available.
SAFEGUARDS
Retention and security
We retain information for the period reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy. The period may depend on whether information relates to an account, transaction, delivery, support request, return, dispute, security event, or legal record. Information may be retained longer where required by law or reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.
When information is no longer required, it will be deleted, anonymised, or securely disposed of, subject to technical, legal, and service-provider retention requirements. Shopify and other providers may apply their own retention periods to information they process for their services.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards intended to protect information against accidental loss, unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or misuse. Access is limited to people and providers who need information for their assigned duties. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
If a personal-data incident occurs, we will assess and respond to it and make any notifications required by applicable law. Customers should promptly contact us if they believe their account or order information has been accessed or used without authorization.
YOUR REQUESTS
Your choices and requests
Depending on applicable law and the status of the relevant provisions, you may be able to request information about personal data being processed, correction or completion of inaccurate information, erasure when retention is no longer required, withdrawal of consent, or redress of a grievance. These rights are subject to exceptions and legal record-retention duties.
To make a request, write to ghorowa.support@gmail.com and identify the account, order, or interaction concerned. We may ask for reasonable information to verify identity and authority before disclosing, correcting, or deleting information. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. Do not send passwords, full payment credentials, or one-time passcodes as part of a request.
You may opt out of promotional email at any time by using the unsubscribe option in the message. This does not stop service messages about purchases, security, or account administration. You may also change cookie settings through your browser and, where available, the privacy controls offered by the relevant provider.
ADDITIONAL TERMS
Children and third-party services
The store is intended for people who can lawfully make or participate in a purchase. We do not knowingly seek personal information directly from a child without any verifiable parental consent required by applicable law. A parent or lawful guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact us so we can review the request and take any action required by law.
The website may contain links to third-party websites, checkout pages, social networks, or services. A link does not mean GHOROWA controls or endorses that service’s privacy practices. Information submitted directly to a third party is governed by that party’s terms and privacy notice.
